I've been trying to upload a movie clip but I have been unsuccessful that's why I will just stick to uploading photos. Baby P finished his summer class in Little Gym and here are some photos of him and his classmates during his showday.

Another Year Older
I just celebrated my birthday the other day and because I have been yaya less for over two weeks, hubby and I decided to celebrate my birthday with some quality time with each other. Here are some photos of the food we ate in Antonio's. I actually wasn't able to take a photo of our appetizer and salad because I was too hungry and I ate my food as soon as it was served =(
Here are some of the other photos I was able to take then:

Cupcake #2
PB&J
Here's another one from Sonja. This has actually been one of my favorite cupcakes from Sonja. The icing is just so creamy and when I chew it I can still feel the sugar melting in my mouth. The jelly on top gives this cupcake just the right amount of contrast to the sweetness. YUM YUM YUM!

An Unexpected dose of Sweetness & Love
Last week, hubby & I went to our "tito's" 70th birthday party and we went because we wanted to show our love, support and respect to their family. Little did we know that we'd end up feeling nostalgic for olden times when the spanish culture was the prevalent here.
Humbled was the word that we both felt. When we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest of thanks and gratitude for going that we truly felt touched that our presence somehow made a difference. You have to understand that we were not blood related to our "tito & tita". We have had more of a business relationship that have somehow managed to blossom into something more that we have been welcomed as part of their family.
It was refreshing to be reminded of how people act when they are well mannered and brought up with the proper etiquette. Everyone was hospitable and you could feel the love vibrating as the energy of the night. Thank you Tito B & Tita M for being role models of kindness, love and respect. Nowadays, its easy to get caught up with worldly matters that we sometimes forget that the intangible is always more important than material things.

Moments that perk me up
Ever since I started working again I must say that my life has been one big balancing act. There are days that I'm really just so worn out and tired. It's times like these that I cherish my precious time with my boys so much more.

Mr. Bungisngis
My youngest is so funny because he cannot seem to make a normal smile when you tell him to. His smile is composed of a grin with a wrinkled nose, chinky eyes and an upturend mouth. Check it out:
Bitten!
For the past two weeks, I have been attacked by pet fleas. I went to my friend's derma for a consult and I was informed that I had bed bug bites so we were all prescribed to put on scabicide lotion at night but the bites didn't stop. Among everyone in the house, I had the worst reaction to these bites. I went back to the derma and she just prescribed a stronger lotion to put at night and insisted that we still had bed bugs even if I had my mattresses professionally cleaned with UV rays to kill these bugs.
The next day, my husband told me to go and see another dermatologist since my bites were getting worse and they were all over my things and legs plus arms. I asked my OB and Pedia to recommend someone and they told me to get in touch with Dra. Marie Eleanor Nicolas in Asian Hospital. Thank goodness I went to her. She told me that I did not have bed bug bites and that my bites were from pet fleas. I told her we had no pets but that our neighbors have dogs and sometimes I hear stray cats pass by our place.
She told me that I had to spray baygon then vacuum the whole house. She said that I had to get rid of them first so that I'd have no more new bites. She gave me an anti-inflammatory for my legs as well. I did as I was told but took it a notch higher by hiring professional exterminators just to make sure that we get all of them. My whole household has been so tired with general cleaning afterwards but so far so good. No new bites and my old ones have subsided already.
The sad part is the bites have darkened on my skin so I am not at all summer ready but what can you do right? I'll be going back to Dra. Nicolas this week to get something to lighten the dark spots.
Lesson learned: Monthly maintenance for exterminating pests must be done especially when you live in a neighborhood full of pets. Another thing, dermatologists in hospitals/clinics are a much better and safer choice!
